Elaine qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 and has spent many years working on all aspects of accounting and taxation for owner managed businesses. She brings with her the understanding of business needs and a valuable different angle to finance, which can be particularly beneficial for our commercial finance deals. In addition to her role as Finance Director in The Lending Channel, she continues to run her own Chartered Accountancy practice.
Sara joined us in 2012, fresh from a stint travelling in Cyprus, and is now a key member of our Secured Lending team. Sara had left school with the intention of taking up a place at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, but the lure of travelling kept this on hold for a while. When she's not enjoying her work, Sara enjoys her music within an orchestra, and can often be found in local open mic’s around Perth.

Has spent 6 years working initially in personal banking, before moving on to an investment bank, then also worked in the insurance industry as an underwriter. Then I decided I wanted to move back into the world of finance with a desire to do mortgages. When not working I look after my daughter and used to dance until a recent injury - but looking to get back to that soon.
After graduating from university, I worked as a dental nurse for a year and a half before deciding I wanted to pursue a career in Financial Services. I am now delighted to say that I passed my full CeMAP in September 2021.
I left university after studying interior design then moved into banking where I worked in the contact centre and branch. This where I gained an interest in mortgages and after 7 years decided to move to the Lending Channel where I am studying for my CeMAP. Update - CeMAP passed 28/11/2020, with distinctions!
I recently graduated with a First-Class Honours Degree in Sociology and Politics, with a particular interest in the changing landscape of Housing. I have previous experience in the Financial Services Industry and currently volunteer with the Citizens Advice Bureau where I offer advice on rights in relation to housing, immigration, employment, finances, and benefits. I enjoy an advice role, and I am looking forward taking on a new challenge and making a positive impact in the mortgage industry.
